Bo Sibbern-Larsen

Hi and welcome, my name is Bo Sibbern-Larsen, I live in tanmaurk. I seek to bridge the past and the present with my cameras, to make sense of the expanse of time through photography.

The profound sense of belonging that I experience, when I am around the ancient nordic monuments and the surrounding landscape is extraordinary. Concentrated on compositions and technical aspects, another perception emerges. The present dissolves and the landscape transforms back in time.

This blog was originally intended to be about Large Format negatives and Caffenol only. I don't do point and shoot with my 4X5 for obvious reasons and I was curious about other formats, both analog and digital. I wanted something "faster" and lighter for those fleeting moments that would disappear, if I had to go get and set up the Linhof first.

Due to the nature of analog (hybrid) photography, uploading new photos and writing new posts is heavily dependent on my developing and scanning the sheets/rolls of films exposed, a time-consuming exercise even under perfect conditions. Hence the update rate will be markedly slower than on a purely digital based blog.

Enjoy your stay.
