Full moon rising over the Dolmen at Sprove, on the island of Møn, Denmark. The beautiful and astonishing clear autumn night creates a shroud of mystery and prehistoric magic around this early Funnelbeaker Culture megalithic grave, built around 3500-2800 BCE.
Originally, the seven megaliths burial chamber was covered with earth, the massive stones hidden inside the mound surrounded by 35 smaller curb/kerb stones. The remains of sacrificial vessels, decorated with beautiful patterns, have been found in front of the entrance. The vessels testify to rituals associated with burials in the Neolithic period.
